5Vakit – Privacy Policy
5Vakit (“the app”) is a mobile app that provides prayer times, the Qibla direction, a dhikr counter, a verse of the day and a prayer tracker. This policy explains what data is processed when you use the app and how it is protected. The app does not require an account; your name, email address or phone number is never requested.
1. Data that stays on your device
The following data is stored only on your device and is not sent to us:
- Location: If you grant permission, your location is used to show prayer times for where you are and to calculate the Qibla direction. Prayer times are calculated on the device; location data is not sent to any server. If you do not grant location permission, you can choose or search for a place manually.
- Compass / motion sensors: Used on the Qibla screen to determine the direction your device is facing.
- Settings and tracking data: Your selected place, language, notification preferences, dhikr counters, prayer tracker marks and qada records are kept on your device. If you delete the app, this data is deleted as well.
- Notifications: Prayer time and “Did you pray?” reminders are scheduled locally on the device. No push notification server is used and no device token is collected.
2. Third-party services
The app connects to the following services for some features. During these connections your IP address and basic device information reach the respective provider as part of standard internet traffic.

3. Data we do not collect
- Identity information, email, phone number, contacts or photos
- Location history
- Your prayer tracking, qada or dhikr records (they stay only on your device)
- Analytics or behavioral profiles
4. Children
The app is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect data from them.
5. Your rights
Because data is kept on your device, you can turn off notification and location permissions in the app settings at any time and remove all local data by deleting the app. You can manage ad personalization in your device settings (iOS: Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking; Android: Settings → Privacy → Ads). For access, correction and deletion requests under the GDPR or similar laws, you can write to the address below.

When this policy is updated, the new version is published on this page and the date above is changed.
